Rosemary has a rich history, well-known and valued since ancient times. It was believed to enhance memory, symbolising fidelity, and was frequently used in weddings, funerals, and other religious ceremonies. A beautifully tied sprig of rosemary was often gifted to wedding guests as a token of love and loyalty. Notably, ‘Hungary water,’ created from fresh rosemary tops steeped in wine, was famously made for the Queen of Hungary, who is said to have been cured of paralysis by its use.
