This Marjoram Essential Oil is steam distilled from the Thymus mastichina plant, featuring a hairy stem, oval leaves, and delicate whitish flowers in clusters. The entire plant exudes a strong aroma, embodying the essence of wild-growing thyme, commonly referred to as Spanish Wild Marjoram. Belonging to the lamiaceae family of Spain, it is distinct from sweet or French Marjoram, as well as oregano, which is also known as wild marjoram.

This oil is renowned for its efficacy as an expectorant for respiratory tract infections and spasms, boasting antiseptic properties that benefit the upper respiratory tract. Unlike sweet marjoram, it does not serve as a muscle relaxant or sedative. Spanish marjoram oil is frequently utilised in aromatherapy, harmonising beautifully with lavender and bergamot oils to create a soothing atmosphere.
