Roman chamomile yields an essential oil that is light blue when fresh. Extracted from the flowers and upper parts of the plant, it is renowned for its excellent calming properties. This delightful oil is said to ease irritation and impatience, providing relief from PMS and other menstrual and menopausal challenges. With its fresh apple scent, Roman chamomile is primarily cultivated in France, Belgium, and Eastern Europe.

This remarkable herb is a go-to for various skin issues, including acne, eczema, rashes, wounds, dermatitis, dry or itchy skin, and allergies. It is reputed to alleviate abdominal pain, gall bladder problems, and throat infections, while also helping to relieve allergies, hay fever, and asthma. In diluted solutions, it can calm children suffering from colic, irritability, diarrhoea, and teething. When used in a vaporiser, it soothes headaches, nervous complaints, and migraines.
